Title: Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist

Location: Wayne, PA

Tourism Economics is a subsidiary of Oxford Economics dedicated to analytically based consulting to the tourism sector. Oxford Economics is one of the world’s leading economics consultancies, providing advice to international institutions, governments and blue-chip companies.

We are seeking a high-calibre, independent worker, Data Analytics and Visualization Specialist to join our team, based in our Wayne, PA (USA) office.

This individual must be creative with a desire to continue learning. Attention to detail is critical and applicants should take pride in producing accurate work on a timely basis as well as have an interest in working collaboratively with colleagues.

Specific job duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Management of multiple datasets for various clients
  • Development and management of Tableau dashboards and other interactive applications
  • Data management, GIS applications, survey research and analysis
  • Creation of written and PPTX reports with an emphasis on impactful presentation of technical data
  • Assistance with economic and marketing analyses

Quantitative Skills:

This position requires expertise with Tableau and familiarity with one or more of Microsoft Access, SPSS, ArcGIS (or related applications), Crystal Reports, Python, SQL or web-oriented languages such as HTML.

Research Methods:

Familiarity with basic approaches to data collection and management and the ability to utilize census and other data from Internet sources is expected.

Writing and Presentation Skills:

Solid writing skills and the ability to create impactful and visually appealing reports. Experience with website and/or graphic design is helpful but not required.

Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, economics, business, design or another relevant field.

Work experience: Minimum two (2) years of data management and analysis; comparable work experience will be considered
